About QR Code Maker

Every free QR generator online sends what you type to somebody's server, including your wi-fi password. The entire encoder is written inside this one file, so nothing you type ever leaves your computer, and it still works with the wi-fi off.

What it does

Links, wi-fi, phone, email and contact cards, not just plain text
Reed-Solomon error correction and all eight mask patterns, written out in the file
Warns you about low contrast, a missing border and inverted colours before you print
Saves as SVG for print or PNG for screens, both made on your own machine
A wi-fi code guests scan instead of typing the long password off the router

Is this really free?

Yes, the whole tool. There is no trial, no cut-down version, no account and no email address to hand over. You are using the same file a paying customer would get.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It is one file that runs in the browser you are reading this in. There is nothing to download unless you want to keep a copy.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Save the page and it keeps working with the wi-fi switched off, because there is no server involved at any point.

Where does what I type go?

Nowhere. Nothing you type is uploaded, stored or sent anywhere. There is no network call in this file to make one, which is why it still works offline.
