Net Worth Snapshot

“Everything I own minus everything I owe — one number.”

Everything you own minus everything you owe — the only money number that counts all of it at once. Save it, open it again next year, and get the change line by line, which is the part that actually tells you something.

  • Assets and debts side by side, with a chart of where it all sits
  • Open last year's file to see the change on every single line
  • Says out loud that the house is a guess and the pension is before tax
  • Flags cash sitting next to credit-card debt, which quietly costs money
  • The most sensitive list you'll ever write down, and it never leaves your computer

How it works

Three steps, then you're done

List what you own

Accounts, savings, the house, the pension, the car.

List what you owe

Mortgage, cards, finance, loans.

Save the file

Then open it here in a year and watch the direction.

Nothing you type ever leaves your computer. There is no account, no login and no server. Switch your wi-fi off and it still works — that's not a promise about our policy, it's just how the tool is built.

Questions

Do I need to install anything?

No. Each tool is a single file. Double-click it and it opens in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox — whichever you already have. No account, no password, no software.

Does anything get uploaded?

No. Your numbers and files never leave your computer — the tools have no way to send them and no internet connection is needed to run them. You can switch your wi-fi off and they still work.

I'm not good with computers. Is this too hard?

The first thing every tool does is walk you through it in five short screens with pictures. Then there's a button that fills it with example numbers so you can watch it work before touching anything.

Will it work on my phone?

Yes. Email yourself the file and open the attachment, or drop the files in iCloud Drive, Dropbox or Google Drive and open them from there — then they're on every device you own.
