Party Food & Drink

“40 people coming — how much do I actually buy?”

Forty people are coming and nobody has ever known whether three kilos of sausages is right. This turns the guest list into a shopping list with real quantities on it — and it does not stack the drinks, which is how most party calculators tell you to buy double.

  • Quantities for food and drink, not vague advice
  • Children counted as half an appetite, not a whole one
  • Wine and beer share one sensible total instead of doubling up
  • Between meals costs a third less, and it knows that
  • A printable list grouped the way a shop is laid out

How it works

Three steps, then you're done

Say who is coming

Adults, children, and how many actually drink.

Tick what you are serving

Untick anything you are not putting out.

Take the list to the shop

Quantities, rough prices and a total.

Nothing you type ever leaves your computer. There is no account, no login and no server. Switch your wi-fi off and it still works — that's not a promise about our policy, it's just how the tool is built.

Questions

Do I need to install anything?

No. Each tool is a single file. Double-click it and it opens in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox — whichever you already have. No account, no password, no software.

Does anything get uploaded?

No. Your numbers and files never leave your computer — the tools have no way to send them and no internet connection is needed to run them. You can switch your wi-fi off and they still work.

I'm not good with computers. Is this too hard?

The first thing every tool does is walk you through it in five short screens with pictures. Then there's a button that fills it with example numbers so you can watch it work before touching anything.

Will it work on my phone?

Yes. Email yourself the file and open the attachment, or drop the files in iCloud Drive, Dropbox or Google Drive and open them from there — then they're on every device you own.
