Text Tidy-Up

“I pasted from a PDF and every line breaks in the wrong place.”

You paste out of a PDF and every line breaks in the wrong place, words are split with hyphens, and there are characters you cannot see but every form can. This puts it right and tells you exactly what it changed.

  • Rejoins lines the PDF broke, and leaves real paragraphs alone
  • Puts back together words split across a line with a hyphen
  • Strips non-breaking spaces, zero-width joiners and soft hyphens
  • Every fix counted separately, so you are not trusting it blindly
  • Untick any fix you want left alone
Freeno email, no account, no catch
Try it now → Download the file to keep

Opens in a new tab. Downloading is optional — do it if you want it on your machine for good.

  • The whole tool — not a trial or a cut-down version
  • Works offline forever once it's on your machine
  • Your text is never uploaded — the tidying happens in the page
  • If it's useful, the other 47 are $9 each
How it works

Three steps, then you're done

Paste the mess in

Out of the PDF, the email, wherever it came from.

Choose the fixes

All the usual ones are on. Untick what you do not want.

Copy the clean version

Or save it as a .txt file.

Nothing you type ever leaves your computer. There is no account, no login and no server. Switch your wi-fi off and it still works — that's not a promise about our policy, it's just how the tool is built.

Questions

Do I need to install anything?

No. Each tool is a single file. Double-click it and it opens in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox — whichever you already have. No account, no password, no software.

Does anything get uploaded?

No. Your numbers and files never leave your computer — the tools have no way to send them and no internet connection is needed to run them. You can switch your wi-fi off and they still work.

I'm not good with computers. Is this too hard?

The first thing every tool does is walk you through it in five short screens with pictures. Then there's a button that fills it with example numbers so you can watch it work before touching anything.

Will it work on my phone?

Yes. Email yourself the file and open the attachment, or drop the files in iCloud Drive, Dropbox or Google Drive and open them from there — then they're on every device you own.
