Debt Payoff Planner

“Which debt do I kill first, and when am I free?”

Everyone online argues about snowball versus avalanche. This runs both on your actual balances and tells you what the difference is worth in dollars — sometimes it's $2,000, sometimes it's $40 and you should take the easier one.

  • Both payoff orders raced side by side, with the cheaper one crowned
  • A slider for your extra payment — drag it and watch years disappear
  • The month each individual debt clears, so you know what to celebrate
  • Warns you if a minimum payment is too small to ever win
  • Up to six debts, ten years of the plan

How it works

Three steps, then you're done

List what you owe

Balance, interest rate and the minimum payment from your statement.

Drag the slider

How much extra you can throw at it each month. Watch the finish date jump.

Pick your plan

The green card is the cheaper one, with a plain-English reason why.

Nothing you type ever leaves your computer. There is no account, no login and no server. Switch your wi-fi off and it still works — that's not a promise about our policy, it's just how the tool is built.

Questions

Do I need to install anything?

No. Each tool is a single file. Double-click it and it opens in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox — whichever you already have. No account, no password, no software.

Does anything get uploaded?

No. Your numbers and files never leave your computer — the tools have no way to send them and no internet connection is needed to run them. You can switch your wi-fi off and they still work.

I'm not good with computers. Is this too hard?

The first thing every tool does is walk you through it in five short screens with pictures. Then there's a button that fills it with example numbers so you can watch it work before touching anything.

Will it work on my phone?

Yes. Email yourself the file and open the attachment, or drop the files in iCloud Drive, Dropbox or Google Drive and open them from there — then they're on every device you own.
